Museum closure

Due to the current situation and government recommendations, the museum is now closed until further notice.

The health and safety of our volunteers and visitors is of the upmost importance to us.

We are still checking emails and messages at home but any response may be delayed.

Glasgow Airport Flight Path Fund continues to support us

We are very pleased to say that Glasgow Airport Flight Path Fund continues to support us with a second grant for the purchase of two new display cabinets for the museum.   The new cabinets arrived just before Christmas 2016, and are now on the Mezzanine Level of the Mile End Mill and over the next few weeks items from our collection will be displayed within them.

We are continuing to seek funding for three further cabinets that will be mounted on the wall, between our existing display cabinets to enable us to display a larger proportion of our collection.

Successful funding from Glasgow Airport Flight Path Fund

We recently received a grant from Glasgow Airport Flight Path Fund of just under £2000.

With the grant we have purchased 2 new display cabinets,  a 21″ Touchscreen PC to display images and videos on and 2 devices for recording oral history from visitors.

We would like to thank Glasgow Airport Flight Path Fund for the award of the grant.
